I collect original and unusual Jean Muir from the 60s-70s with large number of items from private collection which spans the 60s to 80s.
I have dresses, skirts, trousers and tops in printed and plain jersey rayon, silk, wool. Printed dresses, wool dresss, silksuits and coats. Some of this collection was given to the owner by Jean Muir herself. Stock includes;
1960s Jean Muir SILK PRINTED DRESS
A most beautiful muted mustard,green and orange silk abstract print, which is geometric and slightly Op Art. Button up plunge front and Jean Muir's signature delicate ruched shoulder detailing. Size 8.
Late 1960s Jean Muir SILK TROUSER SUIT
This is a fabulous find. A shirt-tunic top with billowing palazzo pants in the most evocative print. Pastel, ice-cream colours in a 'Yellow-Submarine' style trippy-deco illustrative design.
CAPES
Include:
1960s wool reversible short cape by Wetherall for Simpsons. Fantastic electric blue one side, blue and green plaid the other. A super mod, colour block cape in perfect condition.
-1960s black velvet long cape with collar and frogging clasp. Very chic and GREAT for a Dandy man or a beatnik girl.
Victorian heavily beaded and fringed shoulder cape, exagerated pointy shoulders (poss stuffed with straw or even wood!) and V shaped design for the fringed edges..really stunning piece but fragile.

1970s PENDLETON skirt suit. Fab orange and cream plaid. Classic 70s shape jacket and skirt. A-line skirt buttons down the front . A rarity and great condition. Approx 10-12

DRESSES FOR WEDDINGS
Cream:
Late 40-50s 'Roecliff and Chapman - stunning traditional wedding dress. Gorgeous heavy cream satin with floral cream on cream print in great condition. Sleeveless with pleated 30s wide-goddess style shoulder panel, gathered over bust and fitted in the waist. Bias cut, flaring to long skirt extending into a train. As would have been custom made for original owner, the waist is a snug 10 but has larger bust (which could be altered of course).
It originally had long sleeves with pointed ends at wrist which we have removed to give it a more 30s Hollywood look. They could be worn as a long open ended or replaced after any needed alterations to bust are made.
1970s Frank Usher heavy rayon strappy cream dress with two thin straps. Dark gold applique motifs top of bust, extending onto straps one side. Fitted at waist then flaring out to maxi length. Very glamourous, goddess style drss with a great swishy weight to it.
1970s stunning cream goddess gown by Ann Tyrell. Gold thread aplique butterfly bodice, cut out shoulders.
COATS
